I know that the permit process takes some time to get moving, and the permits licence executed. My hope is that we could get this fast tracked if possible. it should have been sent in months ago, but there was no personal, at CDC, so I offered my assistance. The harvest started 1995, and has operated since then. This is a very small project with a very minimal fuel storage at site. I came on board just a couple of weeks ago, in assisting the CDC with some of the permit processes, as they lost the manger that was working with them. My reason for assisting is that Kivalliq Arctic Foods has a lot at stake, being 90 % of our process for the year is caribou, of which 75 % is exported out of the territory. Presently we have the KIA land permit processed, (as of yesterday) and INNAC permit is on the way. Note: Included in the documents,(sent by priority post) that we sent to NWB office is a copy of the business plan, giving additional information of the harvest. as well as the NWB fees that are payable. What Kivalliq Arctic Foods has at stake is the 15 jobs for the year with the harvest of the caribou from Coral. What Coral has at stake is job creation of up to 55 partime jobs, with $ 400,000 of direct wages into the community of Coral Harbour, and up to $ 700,000 spent directly into the community of Coral. I have been in contact with the technical side, Joe, Richard, and am preparing a fuel contingency plan, and hope to have that over by today. What ever you can do will be apprenticed.
