Subject: Rankin Inlet Heat Distribution -
Request for Water Usage for Hydrostatic Testing and
Flushing
Hi Wayne,
As discussed, we have been awarded a contract to install a Heat Distribution System in Rankin Inlet for the Nunavut Power commission. The contract consists of running two (2) 6” pipe line from the power plant to ten (10) government buildings. The length of each pipe runs is approximately 0.5km above ground and 1.0 km below ground.
We will require to Hydrostatic Test and rinse the pipelines using fresh water.
We request permission to utilize the city water supply and drain system to proceed with the operation. We estimate the total quantity of water required will be around 10,000 liters. All the piping that will require flushing will be newly installed pipe. The job will be performed in the August and September.
If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me.
Regards,
Marc Losier G.S.C.
