Good morning,

I am just following up on a request sent out back on July 25, 2006 (see below) and was wondering if Tanqueray Resources would be providing a response to the email?  Until these questions are answered and some of the additional information is provided, the NWB is unable to further process the application.

To this date, the NWB has not received a response.  Please provide an indication as to the intent on continuing with the application and a proposed timeframe that this information will be received.  I have included the email address for Ms Linda Falkenberg, who provided Phyllis Beaulieu with the SCP (which was only partially received) in hopes of ensuring that this email is delivered to the appropriate contact.

I look forward to your response,

Good afternoon Phillip,

I am following up on your Application of May 1, 2006.  I have been assigned to complete the technical review of the file and have had an opportunity to look over the comments received from interested parties during the 30 day review period that ended on July 24, 2006.

I have several questions for you, and one of the first is with respect to the Project Summary provided where it is indicated that in 2005, exploration activities were operated out of your "Thom Lake Camp" conducted on Inuit owned land for which you have a "current land use and water use licence".  I checked with our Licensing Manager, who indicated to me that there was no other licence or application before the NWB for a water licence by Tanqueray Resources Ltd. ("TRI"). Unfortunately our "cross-referencing" of Licenses and applicants is not the best.  With this in mind, could you please provide clarification for the following on this application:

-Could you please provide the NWB with additional information (Licence No.) on the Water Licence for the Camp you will be operating out of and the previous exploration program;
- the application form indicates that this is an "amendment" , which I agree it should be, if we can relate it to another licence;
- the Project Summary indicates that this application is "solely for the purpose of drilling on crown land...", so then is it an amendment to a previous licence?;
- the application form repeatedly refers to the 16 man camp and providing water for it, camp water use, grey water disposal etc.; although the application is for drilling?;
- Sec. 15 of the application has "multi-year" checked off, yet the project completion date is filled in as September 2006?; 1 year? 3 years? 5 years?; completion 2010?
- the exploration questionnaire also talks of a camp, water use etc., this needs to be clarified;
- the questionnaire also refers to an attachment #6 and #10, #6 may be the Spill plan, however the spill plan that was received and posted on the ftp only comprised 4 pages, and not a complete plan. This may have been a fax error or similar, and a hard copy should've been received by the NWB, however they were'nt included with the 30 day review; there was no A&R Plan received, please see the NWB's ftp site at ftp://ftp.nunavut.ca/nwb/2BE/2BE-BAK/ to view the files that were received and made available for public review;
-quantity of water use should be known prior to applying for authorization? I believe there were some emails that provided an estimate of 60m3/day, however this should be confirmed so that future licensing amendments are avoided.
- Comments were received from several parties and are available on the NWB's ftp site under the 2006 application folder and then "comments".  Please take the opportunity to review these submissions and provide a response to the NWB as soon as possible;
-Also, please take a look at the documents on the ftp site under the 2BE-BAK folder and confirm that this is all the information provided for the licence application review.

I thank you in advance for your help in providing the required information so that we may proceed with the application process.

Regards,

Dave
