This is to confirm that I have both a hard copy and digital version of Miramar's Doris North Supporting Document F4, No Net Loss Plan (NNLP), Revision 5, dated October 2005 submitted as part of the Supplemental to the Final EIS for Doris North Project (re-submission for the NIRB review). Based on our discussion this week it is my understanding that this is the document that Miramar Hope Bay Ltd. has currently submitted as the NNLP for the technical review by the Nunavut Water Board (NWB) for the Doris North mine proposal. The final drawings for the NNLP are being revised by Golder Associates Ltd. and are expected to be forwarded to DFO for technical review in the "next week or two". I have received hard copies of plans of the Roberts Bay fish habitat compensation for the marine jetty component of the proposal.

As you are aware the NWB has scheduled a Technical Meeting and a Pre-hearing Conference in Cambridge Bay on June 11 and 12, 2007 respectively. A notice of public hearing has also been posted for August 13, 2007. Please submit the revised NNLP drawings at your earliest convenience to allow for a complete and timely DFO review of impacts to fish and fish habitat in preparation for the NWB technical meeting on June 11, 2007. As we discussed, to expedite the delivery of the revised drawings please either submit them as PDF or ZIP files via e-mail attachment or alternatively make them available as PDF files on an FTP site, to be followed up with hard copies via regular mail.
