Hi
Joe:
Attached is our
follow-up review report. The original letter will come by regular mail. I tried
to contact Bill Horne of EBA to discuss about the geomembrane, but he is out of
the office. I checked with Layfield Plastics, and one of the representative (Mr.
Dave Martin) indicated that they prefer to use natural sand rather than
crushed stones as bedding material. Commonly, a sandwich of non woven
geotextile will be helpful reducing the stresses on the geomembrane. He also
indicated that HDPE will be more difficult to handle for winter construction.
HDPE tends to be more brittle, and Polypropylene liner is more flexible.
Therefore my questions about the precedent and concerns of HDPE.
Regards
Ramli
