It is unfortunate that there isn't a more flexible approach to this slight increase in consumption however I understand that you need to work within the current regulations and guild lines. I would like to once again reiterate the importance of Nunavut to simplify their water permit system into a more risk based approach to ensure those projects which could have a more serious impact are reviewed thoroughly while those with a lower risk profile (such as our activities) are given the option of a more flexible approach. At the current time we will not be asking for an amendment and will keep our total consumption <5m3 per day. Kind regards, Matthew Matthew Pickard, B.Sc. Reference your telephone message of the increase in water use, please be advised that any increase in water over what is stipulated in the license constitutes an amendment. I would suggest that you submit a request to amend the license for this portion only. A cover letter and the application form is all that would be required. We are obligated to send the request for a 30 day review but this one would be a quick turnaround once the review period is complete. Please submit to my attention and I'll see that it gets out right away. Regards, ________________________________ Phyllis Beaulieu Manager of Licensing Nunavut Water Board P.O.
