Dionne,

On behalf of Indicator Minerals Inc. (IME) I would like to thank both you and Phyllis for organizing and facilitating the teleconference on Wednesday to address the concerns raised by the Taloyoak HTO.  We recognize how busy your schedule is and appreciate that you are sensitive to our needs in having this matter resolved in a timely manner so that we may still conduct our grass roots exploration drilling program this season.  I have attached a letter responding to the two main concerns raised by the HTO; the commercial fishing on Lord Lindsey Lake located north of the community of Taloyoak and the effects of drilling activities near caribou hunting grounds.

As we have established, the Barrow Project will not have any impact on the commercial fishing activities on Lord Lindsey Lake due to the location of the project.  The maps provided to the Taloyoak HTO should clear this matter up.

The second issue, the concern of the effects of a drilling program on the wildlife (specifically caribou) are, as you stated during the conference call, beyond the mandate and jurisdiction of the Nunavut Water Board.  However, IME wants to convey to you that we are committed to addressing these concerns and will make every effort to engage the appropriate regulatory agencies and stakeholders to ensure that the communities have the opportunity to discuss their wildlife concerns.  For our part, we will work closely with the communities to explain modern exploration techniques and provide tours to the project area and also to an operating drill.

We have also initiated discussions with other industry members currently exploring in the Kugaaruk and Taloyoak region to include them in the educational process and explaining that their needs to be involvement from all parties particularly for communities that are not as familiar with the mining cycle and its stages.

I have also attached the following revised documents Environmental Procedures Plan, Spill Contingency Plan and Abandonment and Restoration Plan and letters specifically addressing all of the comments made by the various environmental, water and cultural agencies.

Thank you again
