Phyllis,
here is the email from Latisha with Rescan, the SCP attached is apparently the one that was sent back on November 2, 2005 by John Nicholson.  It is different from the one included with the amendment application and should be logged in as a revision under Part H, Item 1.  I will send along an approval letter to go with this Plan.

any questions, just calll

THanks,

Hello Mr. Hohnstein,

On Wednesday, Nov 16, 2005 you had sent a letter to John Nicholson of Starfield Resources requesting additional information for their NWB amendment application.

In this email you wrote:

The Spill Contingency Plan was to be submitted under Part H, Item 1, and was required as of August 27, 2005.  The Plan submitted with the amendment application was reviewed and was determined to be deficient in a number of items requested in Part H, Item 1.  The NWB requests that this Plan be reviewed, revised and resubmitted prior to distribution of the application for review and comment.  The following is a list of Items noted that remain deficient are as follows, however it other items are determined during the process of revising the document, they should also be incorporated prior to submission to the NWB;

I wanted to clarify that the plan submitted with the amendment application is not the required plan under the current WL NWB2FER0507.  The spill contingency plan submitted with the application is to support the new camp area, it is not intended as a spill contingency for the old camp area, therefore should not be reviewed as such.  John Nicholson submitted the required revised Spill Contingency Plan to the NWB on November 2, 2005, see attached.   I will update the “new” spill contingency plan to include your suggestions; however that does not address the issue of the “required” spill contingency.

I suggest you review the correct spill contingency, and inform me about the required changes to this plan.

The same situation applies to the A&R plan.  There are two A&R plans, one for the proposed camp location, and one, as requested for the WL, for the existing camp and operations area.

This being said, what inquiries need to be answered about the Spill Contingency and Abandonment and Restoration Plan answered before the application can proceed?

Thank you,

Latisha Heilman
