From: Brian Johnston [bjohnston@lssd.ca] Sent: December 2, 2008 12:22 PM To: lpayette@nirb.ca Subject: Uravan Garry Lake Project, NIRB File 08EN037 Dear Leslie Payette, Subject: Uravan Garry Lake Project, NIRB File 08EN037 I am very concerned about the Uravan Garry Lake Project because I value the barrenlands caribou. Recent caribou population estimates indicate a rapid decline of the Beverly herd. I know that the NIRB is considering the Uravan Minerals application that includes uranium development in the Garry Lake caribou calving grounds. I have been to Garry Lake and seen first hand this national treasure. I am strongly opposed to any and all development that does not put the life of the caribou first. Life for the caribou depends on their caving grounds. Please ensure that the NIRB keeps this vital fact in the forefront. Sincerely, Brian Johnston
