Dear Nunavut Impact Review Board,

My husband and I strongly oppose the  plans for mining and mineral exploration on the calving grounds of the Beverly caribou.  We  read in the press recently of the drastic decline of caribou cows and calves  -  herd of about 276,000 14 years ago in which the female cow members have decline by 98% in  2008.  This cannot be allowed to continue.  The caribou are an essential food source for northerners and a Canadian icon.  We count on you to protect  this heritage species and its habitat.
