Attention Nunavut Impact Review Board, The shocking decline in caribou numbers across the eastern arctic has recently been brought to my attention and concerns me greatly. I understand this particular project- Uravan Garry Lake- is potentially precedent setting for future mining developments in critical habitat areas for caribou in Nunavut. I urge you to consider this proposal very seriously in light of the dramatic decline in caribou populations and keep industrial development out of these critical areas to allow their number to recover. Given your position I'm sure you understand better than most how important caribou are for northern ecosystems and people. Thank you for your time, attention and careful consideration for our collective future.
