Very disappointingly, we saw only one animal in the whole ten days. While I understand that our dates were a little early for the main migration, we were expecting to see at least a showing of the advance groups. Alex' letter goes a long way to explaining their absence and I cannot imagine how, under the circumstances, you would be willing to allow the Uravan Garry Lake application to go forward. I note that de Beers, Areva and other major players have recognised the importance of the calving grounds to the continued existence of the herd and implore you to reject this application before this herd of magnificent, iconic animals disappears for ever. Sincerely Tony Barton. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Win a trip with your 3 best buddies. Enter today.
