Please protect the Beverly and Qamanirjuaq caribou herds and their ranges and critical habitat. A long-term legislated protected area is needed on the above landscape to exclude industrial activities of mineral exploration and mining and forestry. In fact no roads should be built in this sensitive area. Uravan's application should not be approved! The proposed mineral work would forever degrade native Caribou herds (both Beverly and Ahiak) that are a traditional resource that sustain local people in addition to Inuit, including the Akaitcho Dene, Athabasca Denesuline, Metis and non-aboriginal people. Please demonstrate the vision to retain this area in it's natural state to allow it to sustain the caribou populations and local peoples who have traditionally depended on this natural resource. Thanking you in advance for taking the action to protect this important caribou area. Sincerely, William Kershaw 1891 Morgan Road Chelmsford ON P0M 1L0
