Subject: request to stop Uravan's mineral development plans

Dear Ms. Payette,
Please register our extreme concerns about the impact of Uravan's plans for mineral development on the Beverly caribou calving grounds in Nunavut. Every effort needs to be made to stop the documented decline of this caribou herd. Proposals such as those of Uravan threaten the habitat of this important northern species and set a dangerous precedent. 

Canadians throughout the nation are protective of the fragile Arctic ecosystem and strongly disapprove of any proposal that adds to the impact of industrialization and resource extraction on the barrenlands. We respectfully request that NIRB decline this application.
