Subject: Beverly Caribou Herd

It was with great distress that I recently read that the existence of the Beverly Caribou Herd is in question. This herd has been in many ways an essential part of the landscape and life cycle for untold generations. I believe it in incumbent that you take immediate action to prevent this pending tragedy.

 

In particular, as a first step it is absolutely necessary to protect the calving grounds from any further development. This decision to protect the calving grounds, or not, will certainly go a long way in determining the fate of the herd. As well, this decision will be precedent setting, giving the message whether future development will be beneficial or destructive.
