These grounds are incredibly sensitive ecological areas, and they are globally significant as an essential part of the survival of large caribou migrations. I have traveled through part of the Beverly herd's range, and I have had the privilege to witness part of the herd during its post-calving aggregation. Movements of these animals across large tracts of wilderness, and especially the critical time they spend in their calving grounds, is part of an ecosystem that is already threatened by climate change and industrial plans. Please, do not subject this herd - an essential source of food, a keystone in the ecosystem, and an incredibly beautiful part of our wilderness - to this industrial development. The impact will be felt far beyond Nunavut. Thank you. Sincerely, Jennifer Kingsley #5 - 1070 Davie St. Victoria, B.C. V8S 4E3 -- Jennifer Kingsley 250.812.2796 Victoria, B.C.
