From: Blake Davis [bdavislagerman@usinternet.com] Sent: December 12, 2008 6:08 AM To: "NIRB" Subject: Uravan Garry Lake Project It has come to my attention that the Nunavut Impact Review Board is considering an application from Uravan Minerals for development of the uranium property right on the caribou calving ground, just South of Garry Lake. I am writing in protest to these plans. The population of the Beverly caribou, indeed the caribou everywhere, has dropped considerably in recent years without the Uravan Minerals project. This project could only make the situation worse. I hope you will deny this application in the interest of the caribou - they are an important part of the north country. I have never seen the Caribou herd, though my daughter has on two occasions, and I probably never will. That doesn't matter - we should do everything we can to prevent the total disappearance of this beautiful animal. Thank you for your attention to this issue. Blake S.
