Dear Sir/Madam,
 In view of the precipitous drop in numbers within the Beverly caribou herd, it would be wise to consider a moratorium on mineral development in the area, at least within the calving grounds of the herd. Although the deadline for reviewing objections to Uravan Mineral's proposed application was Dec 12, 2008, I have little doubt that additonal proposals are being considered. Please consider this note as a concerned citizens request for postponing or cancelling development plans in the area until the causes for the severe drop in population are understood.
