Subject: NWB Application
Dear Mr. Calhoun,
It is noted that you have applied for a water licence from the NWB for an exploratory drilling on Inuit Owned Land parcel CO-54 in the vicinity of Dismal Lakes, Nunavut. To date,as you do not have an access licence for IOL parcel CO-54, you will be trespassing on the said private lands. Your Class 1 licence KTL102C028 only allows prospecting and staking, it does not allow drilling on IOLs. Please note that this licence KTL102C028 expired October 1, 2002, it was never renewed nor extended. You are also in contravention of the KIA application process which requires you to return the original signed Licnence KTL102C028 to this office in order for KIA to grant your access request, this has not occurred.
In order for your drilling to be carried out on IOL parcel CO-54, you are required to apply for an access right from this office. The drilling requires a Class 3 licence with an application fee of $500.00. Please ensure that this is carried out ASAP in order for the Regulatory approval process to start.
Thank you. If you have any questions or concerns with this email, please call this office at 867-982-3310 or email me.
