From: Richard Aksawnee Sent: August-11-15 2:45 PM To: sgranchinho@nirb.ca Subject: Community Consultation Good afternoon Sophia, As the chairman of the Baker Lake Hunters and Trappers organization, I spoke with our Manager along with the Board of Directors about inviting the Nunavut Impact Review Board staff to have a Community Consultation about NIRB file 11EN010 Extension request for the Amaruq Exploration Access Road. We, the Board and Staff of the Baker Lake Hunters and Trappers feel that there should be a Community Consultation to be held in the Community of Baker Lake to educate and answer questions from our Membership as this will have effects on wildlife and environment that our hunters depend on. As we`re already experiencing a major impact due to the existing Agnico Eagle Meadowbank All Weather Private Access Road linking the community and Meadowbank minesite. We`re asking NIRB to come to the community between the dates of Sept 8th to Sept 11th. Also asking the Nunavut Impact Review Board to allow an extension on the deadline for comments feedback from organizations? Thanks in advance and looking to work with NIRB board and staff on this important issue for the members of Baker Lake. Richard Aksawnee Chairman Baker Lake Hunters and Trappers
